Get To Know Kev

As Managing Director at GoodCitizen, Kevin Bryant spearheads executive searches for mission-driven foundations and nonprofits addressing some of the world’s most critical challenges. His work spans a broad spectrum of impact areas, including climate and environmental action, education, arts and culture, workforce development, and technology. With a deep understanding of the nonprofit landscape, Kevin provides strategic counsel to organizations navigating the complexities of hiring decisions and leadership transitions.

Renowned as a connector, Kevin is often described by colleagues as a "no-nonsense nurturer." He balances a compassionate and thoughtful approach with clear, direct communication, fostering trust and delivering results for the organizations and leaders he serves.

Kevin's upbringing in a small rural town in North Carolina shaped his understanding of the importance of authentic relationships and cultivated a lifelong appreciation for the art of great barbecue. His transformative experience at a historically Black college and university (HBCU) instilled in him a profound commitment to community and the pursuit of social justice. Building upon this foundation, his graduate studies further refined his leadership skills, equipping him with the tools to navigate complex challenges and inspire meaningful change.

Now based in Austin, Texas, Kevin and his team proudly support organizations across Central Texas and beyond.

Values

  • Authenticity. Relationships, Care, Honesty, and Trust

  • Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Talent is distributed equally, but opportunity is not.

  • Time is precious. “We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there "is" such a thing as being too late. This is no time for apathy or complacency. This is a time for vigorous and positive action.” - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

  • Growth and innovation. Constantly listening to good books on Audible, and continuing to develop as a leader through Leadership Austin's Essential 42 Cohort, and Lead LA 5, Coro Southern California.

  • Live a great story. Catch me playing tennis, hiking, traveling, or even riding a rick shaw across India for charity.

  • Conscious capitalism. GoodCitizen is committed to creating a business with concern for communities, workers, and the environment. That's why we are B Corps Certified and proud members of 1% for the Planet and the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce.
